Marc Herremans

Introducing Marc ‘Ironman’ Herremans is probably unnecessary. He became a 2-time Belgian champion in Olympic distance triathlon, finished 4th in the Ironman of Australia, 6th in the Ironman of Hawaii, and in 2002 was named Sports Personality of the Year by the Belgian sports press.

Due to a cycling accident, he became paralyzed, but at the same time, this gave him the drive to persevere. Marc continued to train and won the Ironman of Hawaii in 2006 in the handcycle division.
