What should I do after a session in an infrared sauna?
After a session in your infrared sauna, hydration is essential. As you lose fluids through sweating, it is important to drink enough water. With regular use or intense sweating, it may also be beneficial to replenish electrolytes, for example with a sports drink or an oral rehydration solution.
Next, allow your body to cool down gradually. As your core temperature remains elevated, you may continue to sweat for 10 to 15 minutes after the session. It is therefore best to wait a little before showering, so that the natural cooling process can take place.
