How warm is an infrared sauna?

An infrared sauna typically heats up to 45°C to 65°C. That is much lower than the 80–100°C of a traditional Finnish sauna, but it is precisely this lower temperature that makes it more comfortable and easier to endure for longer periods. The heat penetrates directly into your body, raising your core temperature so that you still experience all the therapeutic benefits, from relaxation to pain relief and recovery.
